Berlin Young Talents Award
The CRC 1349 "Fluorine-Specific Interactions", together with the Solvay Fluor GmbH, annually awards the Young Talents Award for Fluorine Chemistry to honour outstanding scientific publications in the field of fluorine chemistry by young scientists. The award includes an invitation to Berlin and prize money of €1,250 each.
With the Young Scientists Award, the CRC 1349 wants to increase the visibility of excellent young scientists in fluorine chemistry and also strengthen the proportion of women in this field in the long term. Two prizes are awarded each year for outstanding publications (maximum three published articles) in the field of fluorine chemistry by scientists up to a maximum of five years after their doctorate. (Interruptions in the scientific career, in particular periods spent caring for children and/or relatives in need of care, will be taken into account accordingly). At least one of the two prizes will be awarded to a woman each year. Nominations are accepted from all university teachers - personal applications are not possible. The following must be submitted:
- A maximum of three published (DOI) prize-worthy publications (PDF) by the candidates (nominations with more than three publications or with unpublished contributions will not be considered).
- Nomination letter explaining the significance of the submitted publications for fluorine chemistry and a detailed explanation of the candidate's contribution to the submitted publications.
- CV of the candidates including a portrait picture
